Academic editing

I specialise in academic editing. I edit books, articles, theses, funding proposals and websites.

For books and articles, I specialise in the humanities and social sciences, though I am open to work in all fields. I have edited funding proposals from a broad range of disciplines, from music to mathematics to carbohydrate chemistry.

I have worked both with native and non-native English speakers.

My editing approach

My aim is to help people to improve their writing. I am an editor rather than a proofreader. If you want someone to check your text for minor mistakes, I am probably not the person you need. Find out more about my approach to editing here.

Rates

I charge €45 per hour. I can generally do between 500 and 800 words per hour, depending on how much work your text requires.
